Meet the teamHi, I’m Dr. Cherie
My fascination with Cosmetic Medicine began when I started seeing signs of ageing in my own skin, earlier than I liked.
After battling with adult acne and scarring, I explored ways to improve my skin and learn to “age well”.
I was fascinated with the rewards of Cosmetic Medicine, helping people feel more confident in how they present themselves to the world. This mixture of creativity and science led me to move from full-time GP to formal cosmetic medicine training.
I established Restore Cosmed in 2021 and underwent the postgraduate diploma in Cosmetic Medicine through the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine. After 2 years and over 500 hours of formal training, I was awarded the top graduate prize. I’ve been a member of the NZSCM senior education committee ever since, and am now a national trainer and KOL for MERZ aesthetics.
I have also gained training in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and I now work solely as a GP with special interest in skin and cosmetic medicine.

Our skin and Laser TherapistBrenna has been in the skin and laser industry for 8 years, and brings a warm, thoughtful and detail-focused approach to patient care.
With a strong interest in skin health, laser treatments and helping patients feel confident in their own skin, Brenna is passionate about creating a calm, supportive experience from the moment patients walk through the door. She understands that starting a skin journey can feel overwhelming, and takes the time to make patients feel comfortable, informed and cared for throughout their treatment.
Brenna works closely within our doctor-led team, ensuring treatments are delivered safely, professionally and with a focus on long-term skin health. Her approach is gentle, honest and education-focused, helping patients understand their skin, their treatment options, and how to get the best results over time.
Brenna supports patients across a range of skin and laser treatments, including laser, IPL, skin treatments and ongoing skin maintenance plans. She enjoys building relationships with patients and being part of their confidence journey.

The cosmetic medicine industry and standard of training are unregulated in New Zealand, with training varying from a one-day course to a comprehensive two-year diploma. As a consumer, its important to understand and be comfortable with where your provider sits on this spectrum.
Dr. Cherie lives and breathes cosmetic medicine and is a leader in the industry. She is a senior member of the Education Committee for the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine, she mentors and assists injectors in training and complication management, works as an oversight doctor and is a trainer and Key Opinion Leader for MERZ aesthetics.
Outside of work, she lives locally on a lifestyle property with her husband and two daughters. She also has a love for design and DIY.
