your skin treatment professionalsOur story and team
natural results
Our goal is to achieve a natural appearance and a well-balanced outcome.
We’ll help you present the best version of yourself, without looking like you’ve “had work done”. We strongly believe in a holistic approach to addressing cosmetic concerns, and that we see the best long term results when we address contributors to skin health along with any cosmetic concerns- optimising your skin health and function is our first priority.
As a Doctor led clinic, your safety is our highest priority. We prefer to do things in a gradual and conservative way and in full collaboration with you and your concerns. No pressure or sales tactics.
trusted cosmetic medicine
Cosmetic medicine offers positive, real-life changes.
The cosmetic medicine industry and standard of training are unregulated in New Zealand, with training varying from a one-day course to a comprehensive two-year diploma.
So, as a consumer, you have to choose a provider you can trust. Consider carefully, especially when it’s for one of your greatest assets - your face! Choose a clinician who is well-trained, practices safely and ethically, and shares your beauty ethos.
At Restore Cosmed, Dr. Cherie lives and breathes cosmetic medicine. She is a member of the Education Committee for the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine, and she mentors nurse injectors as an oversight doctor and trainer.
Outside of work, she lives locally on a lifestyle property with her husband and two daughters. She also has a love for design and DIY.
Meet the team
Hi, I’m Dr. Cherie
My fascination with Cosmetic Medicine began when I started seeing signs of ageing in my own skin, earlier than I liked.
After battling with adult acne and scarring, I explored ways to improve my skin and learn to “age well”.
I was fascinated with the rewards of Cosmetic Medicine, helping people feel more confident in how they present themselves to the world. This mixture of creativity and science led me to move from full-time GP to formal cosmetic medicine training.
I established Restore Cosmed in 2021 and underwent the postgraduate diploma in Cosmetic Medicine through the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine. After 2 years and over 500 hours of formal training, I was awarded the top graduate prize. I’ve been a member of the senior education committee ever since.
I also gained training in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
