Hi, I’m Dr. CHerie

My fascination with Cosmetic Medicine begun when I started seeing signs of ageing in my own skin earlier than I liked, and after a battle with significant adult acne and resultant scaring, wanted to explore ways to improve my skin and learn how to “age well”.

The rewards of Cosmetic Medicine in being able to help people feel more confident in how they present themselves to the world, and as a rewarding mix of creativity and science led me to move from full time GP to formal cosmetic medicine training. I underwent the post graduate diploma through the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic medicine (2 years and >500hrs of formal training), and was awarded the top graduate prize in 2023.

My goal is to address your cosmetic concerns in a way that gives a natural appearing and well balanced result, helping you present the best version of yourself without looking like you’ve “had work done”. I strongly believe in a holistic approach to addressing cosmetic concerns, and believe that we see the best long term results when we address contributors to skin health along with any cosmetic concerns.

My role as a doctor always comes first and your safety is my first priority. My approach is to do things in a gradual and conservative way and in full collaboration with you and your concerns. No pressure or sales tactics.

In the right hands, cosmetic medicine can have great results and offer truly positive real life changes for people. The cosmetic medicine industry is not as tightly regulated as general healthcare in NZ, so it is important to choose a provider who you trust is well trained, practices safely and ethically and shares your beauty ethos. It is vital as a consumer to consider carefully who you choose to deliver treatment to one of your greatest assets, your face!

Along with working in the clinic, I am a member of the education committee for the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine, I support and mentor nurse injectors as an oversight doctor and trainer, and I continue a small amount of general practice work in a supportive role to other practices.

Outside of work, I live locally on a lifestyle property with my Husband and two daughters, and have a love for design and DIY.

I look forward to meeting you soon!
